Action Replay

Action Replay is a cheat system produced by Datel. It is a tool, technologically similar to a debugger, that can dynamically alter executables running on the GameCube. Typically it is used to cheat at games by altering the game engine slightly.

Action Replay is interesting to users of gc-linux because by patching its own code (rather than the game engine) it can be provoked into loading code from attached peripherals such as an SD card (SDload) or from a normal memory card (Samson's AR loader).
